Week 1: FinOps Framework Foundations¶

Day 1-2: FinOps Principles and Lifecycle¶

• Read the FinOps Framework overview on finops.org
• Study the six FinOps principles in detail
• Understand the three lifecycle phases (Inform, Optimize, Operate)
• Review the FinOps maturity model (Crawl, Walk, Run)
• Take notes on key terms and definitions

Day 3-4: FinOps Personas and Organization¶

• Study all FinOps personas (executive, engineering, finance, procurement)
• Understand the FinOps team structure and responsibilities

Day 5-6: Cloud Billing Fundamentals¶

• Study AWS billing concepts (Cost Explorer, CUR, Organizations)

• Understand billing hierarchy across providers

• Remember: 50 questions, 60 minutes, 70% to pass
