Conceptual Misunderstandings¶
- Data sharing does not copy data - consumers access the provider's data in place
- Reader accounts use the provider's compute, not the consumer's
- Tri-Secret Secure requires both Snowflake and customer keys - either party can revoke access
- Clustering keys are not indexes - they reorganize micro-partitions
- Result cache bypasses the warehouse entirely - no compute credits consumed
