FinOps Principles

Overview

FinOps (Cloud Financial Operations) is a cultural practice that brings financial accountability to the variable spend model of cloud computing. It enables organizations to get maximum business value from their cloud investment through collaboration between engineering, finance, and business teams.

A team can be at different maturity levels per capability - Walk in Anomaly Management while still Crawl in Forecasting. The framework lets you pick the next capability to mature based on impact and readiness, not lockstep linear progression.
